we are a domestic limited liability company owned and operated by our founder, publisher, and general manager, mary rogers (ms./she/her/hers).
mary founded pressed clover books in 2021, with a keen interest in uplifting new authors and fresh voices in the romance market. she studied journalism as an undergraduate, where she learned and practiced editorial, design, and reporting. she carried these skills into her first job as an editorial assistant for a local newspaper, where she worked before entering a graduate program in creative writing. her short stories have been published in various literary magazines. she has worked in higher education, with increasing levels of responsibility in the area of program management, student support, team leadership, and project management, for nearly a decade - all while reading as much romance as she can.
