We are a woman-owned, queer-owned domestic limited liability company owned and operated by our founder, Mary Rogers (she/her).
Mary founded Pressed Clover Books in 2021, and immediately got to work. As the publisher, managing editor, and acquisitions editor, she is motivated to uplift new authors and fresh voices in the romance market.
She studied journalism as an undergraduate, where she learned and practiced editorial, design, and reporting. She carried these skills into her first job as an editorial assistant for a local newspaper, where she worked before entering a graduate program in creative writing. Her short stories have been published in various literary magazines. These days she continues her professional learning and development with courses in editing, publishing, and writing.
She has worked in higher education, with increasing levels of responsibility in the area of program management, student support, team leadership, and project management, for over a decade - all while reading as much romance as she can.
